Free Play

Today I decided to do a little free play and experiment with paints and fabric. This is necessary for my sanity as things have been a little hectic for me around here the past week. I wanted to create some flower petals using a sheer fabric and some water soluable stabilizer. I drew out my shapes on the stabilizer and did a satin stitch around each petal and then disolved the stabilizer in water. Then I splattered each petal with fabric paints and acrylics. I am planning on making a purse with this flower accent on the front of the bag. Not sure where I am going with it yet. I enjoy just letting things develop as I work and not put too much thought into it.
