Today I am working on a mini 5" art quilt using only recycled materials and items I have on hand. The concept is going green and is being created for my art quilting group challenge. We always do really fun challenges. I think this one happens to be in the last issue of quilting arts magazine. So my idea is to use paper towels that have been dyed and do some type of layering and stitching. I love the book, Collage Unleashed, by Traci Bautista. I would highly recommend her book to anyone who want to get better as an artist and enjoys collages and mixed media art. I have a rough sketch and an idea, so it's time to get to work!
